The Party for Animal Welfare (PAW) ensures to protect and respect your privacy and adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy policy statement explains how we handle and use your personal data and your rights in relation to that data, as stated in GDPR data compliance legislation. We have a Data Protection Officer, as required by the Data Protection Commissioner, whose task is to keep membership records confidential. We collect your personal data in order to achieve our goals, giving a voice to the voiceless.

What data do we collect?

PAW collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)

You directly provide PAW with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register to become a member by filling out a printed form
  • Register to become a member via the our Join Page
  • Donate to PAW
  • Sign up to our newsletter
  • Interact with our social media
  • Contact us via email or telephone

How will we use your data?

PAW collects your data so that we can:

  • Manage your membership
  • Email you with updates about Animal Welfare in Ireland
  • Process your payment
  • Analyse data to improve campaigns

How do we store your data?

PAW securely stores your data at one location within Ireland, and have taken security precautions to prevent any breaches.

When will we delete your data?

We will delete your personal data when you resign as a member or PAW, or in the event of a death.

The right to access – You have the right to request PAW for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that PAW correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request PAW to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that PAW erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that PAW restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to PAW’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that PAW transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
